Overview of Turkiye REACH(KKDIK)

KKDIK is similar to EU REACH regulation and thus it is called Turkiye REACH as it is a regulation that requires approval for chemical registration evaluation in Turkiye.
Turkiye government previously required chemical manufacturers and importers of chemical volume more than 1 ton/year to complete registration by December 31, 2023, but announced an amendment at the end of December 2023 to grant a gradual registration grace periods depending on tonnage band and hazardous information.

Chemical Substance Subject to KKDIK

  • Manufactured or imported chemical substance in Turkiye with more than 1 ton/year
  • Mixture : Chemical substances exceeding 1 ton/year among substances included in mixture which is manufactured or imported in Turkiye
  • Article : Chemical substances exceeding 1 ton/year among substances with intentional or unintentional release which are included in article that are manufactured or imported in Turkiye
  • Polymer : Manufactured or imported chemical substances exceeding 1 ton/year which is a monomer or a reaction substance with more than 2% (w/w) polymer
